Fort Erie International Academy (FEIA)’s basketball stars will be on full display at a high-profile showcase in Toronto starting next week.
The Grind Session is a winter circuit of high school basketball events that consists of elite boys and girls teams from all over North America.
FEIA will take part in the event and go up against a number of schools from across the continent.

Featured among the athletes playing are a handful of ESPN’s top 100-rated prospects, which includes two female players from FEIA; Cearah Parchment and Nyadieng Yiech.
Parchment is ranked as the 39th prospect in the Class of 2015 and Yiech is 77 on the same list.
The Grind Session has produced nearly 3,000 players who have gone on to play collegiate or professional basketball, including more than 20 first-round NBA draft picks, says a news release about the event.
FEIA and Grind Session alumna Kamora Morgan, who participated in the circuit last spring, said it’s “a great platform for athletes to showcase their skillsets” in an interview with Fort Erie Radio.
“Being selected as a Grind Session all star in March was a great opportunity and lots of fun on and off the court,” she added.
Morgan now plays basketball for Northern Kentucky University, where she is pursuing a degree in journalism.
Some of the circuit’s other alumni include Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets), DeAndre Ayton (Portland Trail Blazers), Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), and Jalen Green (Houston Rockets), just to name a few.
The Toronto event will feature 17 teams from across the U.S. and Canada, 18 games, and some of the most elite high school basketball players in North America.
It runs November 8 to 10.
In addition to FEIA, other Canadian schools competing in the showcase are Orangeville Prep, Bond Academy, St. Jude’s Academy, and Royal Crown School.
