Meteors sweep Titans with overtime win to reach semifinals

The Fort Erie Meteors needed overtime to finish the job, edging the Titans 4-3 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford on Friday night to complete a four-game sweep of their best-of-seven quarterfinal series.

Aiden Zimmerman scored the winner at 9:02 of overtime for Fort Erie. Danny Adamo had two goals, including a late third-period marker to force extra time, while Dylan Greenwald also scored.

Tyler Clark, Quinton Kim-Lemay and Lui Indzers scored for Brantford. The Titans led 2-1 after two periods and took a 3-2 lead late in the third before Adamo tied the game.

With the win, the Meteors advance to the conference semifinals, where they will face off against the St. Catharines Falcons.
