Additional sexual assault charges for Fort Erie massage therapist

A Fort Erie massage therapist charged with sexual assault in late July is now facing additional charges.

On July 25, Niagara Regional Police said they received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a registered massage clinic and wellness centre and that the alleged offence occurred during a scheduled massage therapy appointment.

A 58-year-old man was charged with sexual assault.

On Friday, police issued a second news release saying the same individual was charged on Thursday with nine counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual exploitation.

“These are new charges and newly reported incidents,” media relations officer Constable Luke Lindley explained to Fort Erie Radio in an email.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone who has information to come forward, says Friday’s news release.
