QEW and other stretches of highway in Niagara set for work this week

There are more than two dozen spots along the QEW in Niagara where Fort Erie commuters can expect to see construction this week.
This includes work at the Toronto-bound on-ramp and Christie Street-Lakeview Avenue in Grimsby, the Toronto-bound on-ramp at Ontario Street in Grimsby, and the Toronto-bound off-ramp at Victoria Avenue in Lincoln.
There will also be moving construction headed toward Fort Erie between Casablanca Boulevard in Grimsby and Victoria Avenue in Lincoln.
Toronto-bound in Fort Erie there will be work between Central Avenue and Bowen Road, as well as between Bertie and Thompson roads, and Ridgemount and Concession roads.
Work between Lyons Creek and Bowen roads is set to take place, too.
Other spots along the QEW where there will be construction are in St. Catharines, both directions between Welland and Glendale avenues, as well as in Niagara-on-the-Lake between Glendale Avenue and Lake Street.
Fort Erie-bound between Seventh Street and Martindale Road in St. Catharines will also be a construction area causing lane closures.
On Highway 406, there will be work northbound at the QEW in St. Catharines.
Work resumes this week on Highway 58 southbound between the Thorold Tunnel and Pine Street.
On Highway 405, work between the QEW and Stanley Avenue in Niagara-on-the-Lake will continue, as well as between Stanley Avenue and the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge.
