Meteors take 2-0 lead in best-of-seven series

The Fort Erie Meteors have taken a two-game lead in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Hitting the road on Tuesday, the Meteors downed the Cambridge Redhawks by a score of 4-1.
After a scoreless first period, the Meteors netted three in the second and one more in the third period to take a 4-1 lead.
The Redhawks scored 11 minutes and 39 seconds into the final frame but that would be their only offence on the final scoresheet.
The Meteors lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.

Game three is Saturday at the Leisureplex at 7 p.m.
