Less work taking place on Niagara highways than recent weeks

There are fewer closures on Niagara highways this week than there have been lately.
One ongoing project that could affect Fort Erie motorists is work in both directions on Highway 3 between Nigh and Holloway Bay roads near the Port Colborne border.
On the QEW, there will be a Fort Erie-bound lane closure between Glendale Avenue and Highway 405 in Niagara-on-the-Lake this week.
There is also work taking place on the QEW at a number of spots outside of Niagara, including in Burlington and Mississauga.
One example is recurring construction on the Fort Erie bound QEW between Fairview Street/Plains Road and the Burlington Skyway, which will cause three lanes to be closed.
Work is also taking place in the same area at Northshore Boulevard.
