Construction continues on highways in Niagara this week, including projects that have been going on for many weeks.
Fort Erie commuters should expect to find work between Victoria Avenue in Lincoln and Christie Street/Lakeview Avenue in Grimsby on the QEW, according to Ontario 511, the province’s website for traffic information.
In both directions on the QEW, construction will resume between between Baker Road in Niagara Falls and Gilmore Road in Fort Erie.
Between Seventh Street and Martindale Road in St. Catharines, construction will cause lane closures.
The Fort Erie-bound on-ramp at Martindale Road is closed as well.
On both sides of the QEW near the Niagara-on-the-Lake tourist information centre and Stanley Avenue, construction is also scheduled.
The southbound off-ramp at Woodlawn Road and Highway 406 in Welland is scheduled to be closed, says Ontario 511.
There will also be work between East Main Street at Woodlawn Road on Highway 406, as well as northbound at the QEW and 406.
Recurring engineering between Forks Road and Kleiner Street in Welland on Highway 58 is scheduled.
Also on Highway 58, work continues near Pine Street and the Thorold Tunnel, southbound.
On Highway 405, there will be construction both directions in the area of Stanley Avenue and the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge in Niagara-on-the-Lake, as well as at the QEW and Stanley Avenue.
