Fort Erie Meteors on a 10-game win streak after 7-3 win over Titans

The Fort Erie Meteors have achieved a 10-game win streak following a 7-3 win over the Brantford Titans Thursday evening.
The Meteors are currently third in the Greater Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference and extended their win streak to 10 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford.
Associate head coach Anthony Passero told Fort Erie Radio the run followed a tough start to the season and a willingness by the team to pull together for a strong finish.
“The guys had a little talk to each other and realized what they wanted to do, and they bought in a little bit more than I’d say they were at the start, and we’re just rolling here,” said Passero.
Passero said Fort Erie’s power play was producing earlier in the run, but he wants it “back on track” heading into the team’s final game of the year this Saturday.
He said the current Meteors streak is not common in Junior B hockey and is a testament to the commitment the team is willing to put in.
Passero pointed to Cambridge’s long opening run this season as a benchmark. The Redhawks won 21 games in a row to start the year, which he said was “crazy to do.”
He also pointed to goaltenders as key drivers for the team’s success, noting the penalty kill has been steady during the past 10 games.

Finn Moffett went the distance for Fort Erie on Thursday, stopping 28 of 31 shots. Brantford starter James Gall allowed five goals on 25 shots before Lukas Bergman finished the game.
Passero said the team’s younger players have adjusted to the pace and work level in Junior B, and veterans with the team have helped set the standard.
“It’s just a few look-in-the-mirror moments for some guys to realize that it’s not an easy leap playing (at this level).”
The Fort Erie Meteors are on a “championship or bust” track this season, according to Passero, with the goal of winning the Eastern Conference–as they did last season–to send the team’s veterans out the right way, naming captain Rylan Masterson as an example.
“He’s done everything and more that this organization could want,” said Passero.
Fort Erie’s final game of 2025 is December 20 against the Ayr Centennials at the Leisureplex.
