Nice Baby, Bodacious Miss, and Truly Mischief among the winners June 4 at Fort Erie Race Track

The Fort Erie Race Track saw an evening of thrilling horse racing last night. Here is a recap of the eight different races:

Race 1: Nice Baby dominates the field

Kicking off the day at 4:34 p.m., the first race, a five-furlong claiming event for fillies and mares three years old and upward, saw Nice Baby, ridden by Sofia Vives, clinch victory with a winning time of 57.30 seconds. Nice Baby’s first place rewarded bettors with $2.30 for the win, $2.10 for the place, and $2.10 for the show. Mimi’s Holiday, with jockey Amanda Vandermeersch, came in second, while This One Can Run, ridden by MarkLee Z. Buchanan, secured third place. The winning horse was bred by Janet Erwin and trained by Anthony Adamo for ICON Racing Stables.

Race 2: Chrome’s Big Break shines

The second race, starting at 5:03 p.m., was another claiming race for fillies and mares three years old and upward, this time spanning six furlongs. Chrome’s Big Break, with Rosario Montanez in the saddle, finished strong with a winning time of 1:11.52, paying out $5.40, $3.60, and $2.30. Few Regrets, ridden by Christopher Husbands, and Fixyurhairupretty, guided by Ismael Eluid Mosqueira, followed in second and third places, respectively. The winning horse, bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, Perry Martin, and Denise Martin, was trained by Juan Pablo Silva for Tricar Stables, Inc.

Race 3: Bodacious Miss takes turf victory

At 5:32 p.m., the third race featured a five-furlong turf claiming event for fillies and mares. Bodacious Miss, ridden by Ismael Eluid Mosqueira, crossed the finish line first with a time of 58.36 seconds. The win paid $3.70, $2.60, and $2.60. Awildas Treasure, with jockey Michael David, finished second, followed by Snell Flicka, ridden by Omar Moreno. Steve Owens bred the winning horse, trained by Jeff Voyce for Voyce and McGirr Jr.

Race 4: Sunyani’s allowance triumph

Sunyani, ridden by Kirk Johnson, took the spotlight in the fourth race, an allowance event covering six furlongs on the dirt, with a winning time of 1:09.76. The victory paid $5.10, $2.70, and $2.10. Wilberforce, guided by Christopher Husbands, secured second place, while Reload Bullet, with MarkLee Z. Buchanan aboard, finished third. Bred by Highclere, Inc., Rocky Top Racing LLC, and Springtown Show Stables LLC, the winning horse is trained by George Newland for owner Lincoln V C Radhay.

Race 5: Truly Mischief’s starter optional claiming event victory

The fifth race, a five-furlong starter optional claiming event, saw Truly Mischief, ridden by Sofia Vives, secure first place with a time of 56.37 seconds. The win paid $4.20, $2.80, and $2.30. Core, with jockey Edgar Zenteno, followed in second place, while Victory March, ridden by Alexis Sanchez, finished third.  Bred by Newtownanner Stud, Truly Mischief was trained by Anthony Adamo for ICON Racing Stables,

Race 6: Bajan Bullet wins allowance race

In the sixth race, a five and a half furlong allowance event, Bajan Bullet, guided by Leo Salles, finished first with a time of 1:03.88. The win paid $4.70, $2.80, and $2.40. Back to Reality, with Ismael Eluid Mosqueira, came in second, followed by M C Jackhammer, ridden by Sofia Vives.  The winning horse, bred by Amy H. Daney Bloodstock, is trained by Sue A. Andrushko for owners Vidal and Lamar Squires.

Race 7: Hiatus secures claiming race win

In the seventh race, a seven-furlong turf claiming event, Hiatus, ridden by Ismael Eluid Mosqueira, triumphed with a time of 1:24.38, paying $12.40, $5.50, and $4.90. Executive Chairman, with jockey Christopher Husbands, finished second, while Paperback Hero, ridden by MarkLee Z. Buchanan, secured third place. Adena Springs bred the winning horse, trained by Jeff Voyce for owners Jeff Voyce and Herbert McGirr Jr.

Race 8: Natasha’s Bizniz takes final race

The final race of the day, a five-furlong claiming event for fillies and mares, saw Natasha’s Bizniz, ridden by Alexis Sanchez, claim victory with a time of 58.12 seconds. The win paid $8.90, $3.60, and $2.70. Mary Margaret, with jockey Rosario Montanez, and Rememberoldtymes, ridden by Terry Husbands, finished in second and third places, respectively. T/C Stable LLC bred the winning horse, trained by Sharon Ceccato for owners Sharon and Dianne Ceccato.
