Town asks for input on Concession, Washington, and Farr traffic
April 2, 2024 at 3:27 PM
The Town of Fort Erie is seeking public feedback to develop traffic calming plans for parts of Concession Road, Washington Road, and Farr Avenue. This initiative aims to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike.
“Traffic calming” refers to a variety of measures designed to reduce speeds and distracted driving, and to encourage responsible driving behaviour in general.
These plans are part of the Town’s Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Policy, adopted in April last year, which focuses on creating safer streets in residential areas.
The public is encouraged to participate in this project by sharing their experiences with current traffic conditions on these roads. Surveys for each area can be found on the Town’s website.
Residents can also sign up for email notifications to stay informed about upcoming public consultations. During these consultations, the Town will present draft traffic calming plans and gather feedback from the community.
