Seniors can visit Old Fort Erie for half price on Wednesdays in June

Seniors can visit Old Fort Erie for half price on Wednesdays in June as part of a Niagara Parks promotion tied to Seniors Month in Ontario.

Visitors aged 60 and older can receive half-price admission to Niagara Parks attractions and heritage sites every Wednesday next month.

Niagara Parks says the offer is available for in-person ticket purchases only and cannot be applied to online sales.

Seniors must show valid photo identification at the welcome centre or at the entrance to a participating attraction or heritage site to receive the discount.

Regular parking fees still apply, though Niagara Parks lists free parking as one of the features at Old Fort Erie.

Old Fort Erie is open seasonally from May to October and offers guided tours, musket demonstrations and special events, including the Siege of Old Fort Erie reenactment.

The site also includes a welcome centre with interactive exhibits, a theatre and a snack bar.

Regular admission to Old Fort Erie is $15 for adults and $9.50 for children aged three to 12, before tax.

The Wednesday promotion runs June 3, 10, 17 and 24.
