Ridgefest road closures planned Saturday in Ridgeway

Drivers should expect road closures and parking restrictions in Ridgeway this weekend as Ridgefest takes over the downtown core.

According to a traffic notice provided by the Town of Fort Erie, Ridge Road will be closed between Wilson Street and Farr Avenue on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Dominion Road will remain open to vehicle traffic during the day.

A second closure will take effect Saturday at 11 p.m., closing Ridge Road between Dominion Road and Disher Street until 6 p.m. Sunday.

Parking restrictions are also in place from Friday through Sunday on several streets near the festival area.

The restrictions include sections of Elm Street, Hibbard Street, Disher Street, Highland Drive, Cutler Street, Wilson Street, Wallace Street, South Mill Street, Prospect Point Road and North Mill Street.

Drivers heading into the area are asked to watch for posted signs and plan ahead.
