The Burlington Skyway will cause one Fort Erie-bound lane of the QEW to be closed starting Friday and throughout the weekend.
The closure starts November 8 at 10 p.m. and continues until Monday at 5 a.m., also affecting collector lanes in the area, says the ministry of transportation.
There will be other instances of roadwork taking place across Niagara that could affect Fort Erie commuters, such as the Fort Erie-bound QEW off-ramp at Mountain Road in Niagara Falls being closed Friday to Sunday.
There will also be a lane closure Fort Erie-bound at Glendale Avenue in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Work is also continuing in both directions on the QEW between Gilmore Road and Baker Road in Niagara Falls, which has been taking place since last month.
Work will continue southbound at the Thorold Tunnel along Highway 58, according to Ontario 511, the province’s website for traffic information.
One lane remains closed both ways on Highway 3 between Nigh and Holloway Bay roads until November 18, says Ontario 511.
