Councillor Tom Lewis said on Facebook that he had received many inquires about the boat.
He wrote on August 2 that he had been informed by Town of Fort Erie staff that the Coast Guard had issued an intent to tow, which is alleged to have expired on August 1.
“Currently, I have no further updates or information on the next steps, but I wanted to provide this update as there have been many comments about the lack of action,” Lewis wrote.
