Snooki hunts for ghosts at Old Fort Erie in new Crave series

Old Fort Erie is getting some national screen time in a new paranormal series starring reality television personality Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

According to Niagara Parks, Old Fort Erie is one of several Ontario locations featured in ‘Snooki: The Paranormal Rookie,’ an eight-part Crave Original series that premiered October 2.

The production filmed at the Fort Erie historic site this spring, with Polizzi and a team of paranormal investigators exploring stories and reported unexplained experiences associated with the property.

Old Fort Erie, located at 350 Lakeshore Road, is a War of 1812 National Historic Site. Niagara Parks describes it as Canada’s bloodiest battlefield, stemming from fighting during the 1814 Siege of Fort Erie.

Other locations featured in the series include the Niagara Parks Power Station and Loretto Academy in Niagara Falls, along with historic properties in Hamilton, Brockville, Goderich and Peterborough.

Bell Media says the first two episodes were released October 2, with two new episodes scheduled to arrive on Crave each Friday.

Niagara Parks is also holding two after-hours events at Old Fort Erie this month. All Hallows’ Eve begins October 16, while History on Tap is scheduled for October 24.
