Anglican Parish Players to perform ‘Jonas and Barry in the Home’

For those needing a good laugh or those pondering how to live life to the fullest, the Anglican Parish Players will be presenting ‘Jonas and Barry in the Home’.

Written by Norm Foster, the play features two of Fort Erie’s favourite performers, with Dan Bennett appearing as Barry Butterfield and Chuck Jagiello as Jonas Ainsworth.

The play follows Barry, a resident at Gateway Gardens who prefers a quiet life. His routine is disrupted by the arrival of Jonas, a flamboyant retired actor known for his outgoing personality.

Despite their differences, an unlikely friendship blossoms between the two men.

The play promises a heartwarming and humorous journey as they embark on adventures together, reminding everyone that life can be full of surprises.

There will be three showings in total:

  • Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 4 at 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.

“The set for Norm Foster’s ‘Jonas and Barry in the Home’ is almost up,” Jagiello wrote in a post on Facebook on Thursday. “Tickets still available.”

Admission to the show, taking place at All Saints’ Anglican Church (149 South Mill St.), is $20.
