Framed on Jarvis leading up to second annual Arts, Beats & Eats festival

A “walkable art gallery” will soon be set up on Jarvis Street as a precursor to another art-fueled event taking place on September 20.

The second annual Arts, Beats & Eats festival will take over Bridgeburg again as a vibrant street party with live music, food, and all types of creative activity.

Starting this week with a soft launch on Wednesday, Framed on Jarvis will involve about 15 artists displaying pieces on storefront windows, equipped with bios and more information about their work.

“It gets new eyes on the street,” Bridgeburg BIA vice-chair Korinne Antaya told Fort Erie Radio.

Framed on Jarvis will feature local artists as well as some from outside the region.

Arts, Beats, and Eats is an all-ages event with a music lineup including acclaimed small-town talent from Leamington, Ont., Billy Raffoul, whose raspy, soulful voice has taken him across the globe and landed him features in Sony video games, Grey’s Anatomy, and more, said Antaya.

Joining him is DJ Shub, a Juno Award-winning artist known for his powerful Indigenous-inspired sound. He is also a two-time Canadian DMC champion, a competitive DJ with major skills in “scratching” and “beat juggling.”

Also performing are indie darlings Hebridean, high-energy band Public House, and rising stars from the Fort Erie School of Music.

Attendees can expect a full day of local food vendors, artisan markets, a family zone, and a wine and beer garden that keeps the party going well into the night.

“This isn’t just a festival. It’s a full-on celebration of what makes Fort Erie vibrant, creative, and worth showing up for,” said Antaya.
