Parking restrictions in effect for Old Fort Erie siege re-enactment weekend

History buffs headed to Old Fort Erie for the annual siege re-enactment weekend should make note of parking restrictions in the area.
In a post on social media, the Town of Fort Erie lists roads in the area where visitors will not be allowed to park from Friday to Sunday.
The restrictions are as follows:
- Adelaide Street — Dominion to Lakeshore // east side
- Albany Street — Alfred to Albert // south side
- Albert Street — Albany to Dominion // west side
- Drummond Crescent — Ferguson to Lakeshore // south side
- Edward Avenue — Albany to Dominion // west side
- Ferguson Avenue — Albany to Dominion // both sides
- George Road — North End to Dominion // west side
- Joseph Street — Albany to Dominion // west side
- Lakeshore Road — Adelaide to Dominion // south side
- Lakeshore Road — Dominion to Drummond // both sides
- Malkin Avenue — Drummond to Dominion // west side
- Nelson Avenue — Queenston to Dominion // west side
- Queenston Boulevard — Albert to Ferguson // south side
- Radford Avenue — Albany to Dominion // west side
- White Avenue — Adelaide to East End // south side
- Lakeshore Road — Fire Access east of 436 Lakeshore Road // north side
A shuttle service will be available to transport visitors from designated parking areas along Lakeshore Road to the Old Fort:

The annual Siege of Old Fort Erie event, which kicks off Saturday morning, draws out large crowds from all over Canada and the U.S. to witness battle re-enactments and learn about the significance of local history.
The event itself–much of which takes place outdoors–is free to attend, although admission is required to enter the fort.
