Motorcycle crash in Fort Erie, no serious injuries: police

A motorcycle carrying a passenger collided with another vehicle on Dominion Road in Fort Erie on Sunday afternoon, and no serious injuries were reported.

The collision happened around 1:15 p.m. on Dominion Road just east of Kraft Road, Niagara Regional Police told Fort Erie Radio.

The report on the crash was not complete Sunday evening.

A motorcycle crash in the same area just days earlier left two people with life-threatening injuries.

On September 6, a white Nissan SUV and a red Harley-Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle collided at Helena Street and Dominion Road. The motorcycle’s driver and passenger were taken to a hospital outside the region, police said at the time. A passenger in the SUV was treated at a local hospital and released.

Detectives with the Niagara police collision reconstruction unit took over that investigation and closed the intersection for about two and a half hours.

The causes of both crashes remain under investigation. Police are asking anyone with dash camera footage from the area to contact them.
