Two-car crash closes Highway 3 near Ridgeway

A two-vehicle crash closed part of Highway 3 near Ridgeway for about two hours Sunday.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division, Highway 3 was fully closed between House Road and Matthews Road shortly after 12:20 p.m. as emergency crews responded to a collision involving two passenger vehicles.
Police said injuries were being assessed at the time and asked drivers to use alternate routes.
The highway reopened shortly after 2:15 p.m.

Niagara This Week reported one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the crash, which happened on Highway 3 near Point Abino Road just before noon Sunday.
Police are continuing to investigate.
