Only one major QEW lane closure impacting Fort Erie traffic this week

A check of the Ontario 511 roadwork list suggests a relatively quiet week ahead for drivers in Fort Erie. No new construction projects or lane reductions were posted for the Niagara region between Tuesday and Friday. The only notable disruption continues to be a long‑term lane closure on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
The Fort Erie-bound QEW between Ridgemount and Concession roads has been under construction since late August. Ontario 511 warns that only one lane of traffic alternates through the work zone at all times. Crews expect to keep this restriction in place until early December.
Drivers commuting from Fort Erie into Niagara Falls and St. Catharines will not encounter any scheduled ramp closures or lane reductions on highways 140, 58, 405 or 406 through the remainder of the week.
Motorists should continue to obey posted signs and be prepared for slower traffic near the Ridgemount Road construction zone.
