Three youths arrested following Fort Erie robbery

Niagara Regional Police officers arrested three youths in connection with a robbery that occurred in the area of Municipal Drive on April 4, 2024.

Police responded to the reported robbery at approximately 7:32 p.m. Upon arrival, they located a 15-year-old victim who had been approached by three youths concealing their identities. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and produced a weapon.

Officers located the suspects nearby and took them into custody. Further investigation by 5 District officers revealed that one of the youths was also responsible for a previous robbery.

The following charges were laid:

  • 13-year-old male: Two counts of robbery, disguise with intent
  • 14-year-old male: Robbery, disguise with intent
  • 12-year-old male: Robbery

Two of the accused were held in custody for a bail hearing on April 5, 2024, in St. Catharines. The third accused was released with a future court date. Police are protecting the identities of the youths in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
