Stretch of Niagara Parkway to be resurfaced starting Wednesday

A stretch of the Niagara Parkway in Fort Erie will be affected by work for more than two weeks starting Wednesday.

Niagara Parks will begin a resurfacing project from just south of Schweigler Road to Service Road 9. The project is expected to be completed by July 18, weather permitting, said the parks commission in a news release.

During this time, nearby residents may experience increased dust, noise and other temporary disruptions, the news release said.

One lane of traffic will remain open and managed by a flagging operation to ensure safe and efficient vehicle flow, said Niagara Parks.
