Several QEW lane closures to affect Fort Erie traffic this week

Several Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) lane restrictions are scheduled for road work beginning April 9, 2024.

These lane closures are expected to impede the flow of traffic in both directions between Fort Erie and Niagara Falls.

  • A single alternating lane will be closed on Toronto bound QEW between Central Avenue, Fort Erie, and McLeod Road, Niagara Falls, from April 9 at 7 p.m. to April 12 at 5 a.m.
  • A single alternating lane will be closed on Fort Erie bound QEW between McLeod Road, Niagara Falls, and Central Avenue, Fort Erie, from April 9 at 7 p.m. to April 12 at 5 a.m.
  • Left lane will be blocked on Toronto bound QEW between Central Avenue and Concession Road, Fort Erie, from April 9 at 9 a.m. to April 12 at 3 p.m.
  • Right lane will be locked on Fort Erie bound QEW between Concession Road and Central Avenue, Fort Erie, from April 9 at 9 a.m. to April 12 at 3 p.m.

Drivers are advised to take different routes and expect possible delays.
