The Fenian Brotherhood was an Irish Republican organization that launched raids into Canada between 1866 and 1870 in hopes of pressuring Britain to withdraw from Ireland. Many Fenian fighters were veterans of the American Civil War, and the raids caused significant fear in Canada.

While the battle reenactment in the south field is free to the public, regular admission fees apply to enter Old Fort Erie.

Free parking is available.
