Little goblins, superheroes and even a life‑sized box of raisins crowded into Stevensville Memorial Hall on Sunday for the annual kids Halloween party, a community tradition organizers say has been running for more than four decades.

The free event, organized by the Kinette Club of Stevensville and starting at 1 p.m., offered snacks, music, games and pumpkin decorating, along with a costume contest for children up to 12 years old. Dozens of volunteers transformed the hall with Halloween‑themed décor and ran activities that included trick‑or‑treating, pumpkin decorating and a spooky dance party.
Fluffy the Clown delighted children with her antics, and prizes were awarded for most original, cutest, scariest and best homemade costumes in several age groups.
Three families went home with car passes to Safari Lights, while costume‑contest winners received gift cards to local restaurants. Pizza was supplied by Shaggy’s on West Main Street, pumpkins by Stevensville Garden Gallery and music by DJ Marcus Antaya.
“Stevensville Steve” Simkus of Fort Erie Radio served as master of ceremonies.

“It’s so special to see the kids, their parents and grandparents enjoying our annual events like the Halloween party,” co‑chair Stephanie Freeman said in an email to Fort Erie Radio on Monday.
“It’s been part of the community for more than 40 years. That kind of tradition and keeping our community members connected is what the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Stevensville are all about.”
Organizers thanked volunteers and partner groups, including the Kinsmen Club of Stevensville and Kinette Club of Fort Erie, for their support.
