Owner of Domino’s on Garrison Road ‘always there’ for the community

Domino’s Pizza is a chain with a presence across the country, but Fort Erie feels like home for Salah Uddin, the owner of the location on Garrison Road.

He has been the operator there for about three years, taking over one year after it opened in the plaza that also contains a Rogers store, H&R Block and other businesses.

On Saturday, the local Domino’s held a customer appreciation day, selling five-dollar medium pizzas, handing out coupons to everyone who walked through the door, and also offering a “spin the wheel” game where customers got to walk away with a prize.

“We live in a small community here in Fort Erie,” said Uddin, noting he also resides locally.

He wants to “appreciate” the town and its people by offering the customer appreciation day, he told Fort Erie Radio, who was also on site for the day.

Fort Erie is becoming known for a place that has just about every chain restaurant available, as well as several pizza places.

“Everyone wants to have their stake,” he said, adding it’s great people “have choices,” but also admitted it can be a “bit tough” with so much competition.

Uddin encourages local charities and other groups doing fundraising to reach out to him at the store.

“If anyone needs anything, I’m always there,” he said.

Uddin also owns the Ridgeway location on Dominion Road.
