Niagara Transit launches Route 751, an hourly Fort Erie bus service
April 10, 2026 at 4:14 PM
A new bus line will begin running through Fort Erie on April 27, with Niagara Transit introducing Route 751 to extend the preexisting regional Route 22, providing hourly local service and a connection to the wider regional Niagara Transit network.
Community information sessions will take place ahead of the launch to outline the route and gather questions from residents. Sessions are scheduled for April 13 at the Crystal Ridge library branch from 9:30 a.m. to noon, April 15 at Stevensville Memorial Hall from 3 to 7 p.m., and April 16 at Centennial library branch from 5 to 8 p.m.

Route 751 travels as far northeast as Bridgeburg via Central Avenue and Jarvis Streets, as far southwest as Crescent Park via Buffalo and Dominion roads, and connects with town hall and Route 22 in between.
A complete route map is available at nrtransit.ca.
Niagara Transit expects the route to provide a consistent option for daily travel within town, while Niagara Transit Plus will continue to serve areas outside the fixed route and riders who require specialized transit.
The service changes follow recommendations in Niagara Transit’s 10-year investment and growth strategy, which sets priorities for transit service across the region.
“Niagara is growing, and more people are using transit as part of their everyday life,” said manager Carla Stout in the release. “We’ve heard from local councils about what their communities need, and the upcoming changes reflect that.”

Additional changes will take effect across Niagara in late April and early May. Niagara Transit Plus will expand service in Niagara Falls on April 26 to reach areas outside the city’s urban boundary, with operating hours set from 6 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
Customer service hours will also change on May 3, with support available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. The customer service counter at the Morrison-Dorchester Hub will close, with assistance continuing by phone, online and at other transit locations.
A ribbon cutting for the new Fort Erie route is planned for April 24 with municipal officials, including Mayor Wayne Redekop, ahead of the service launch three days later.
