Meteors facing familiar foe in second round of playoffs

The Fort Erie Meteors will face a familiar foe in the second round of playoffs.

After knocking off the Cambridge Redhawks in six games on Saturday to take the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Eastern Conference quarterfinals, their next opponent will be one not to be taken lightly.

The Meteors will begin the second round of the postseason on Saturday at the Leisureplex, taking on the Caledonia Corvairs.

Here is a breakdown of the first four games:

Game one: Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. (in Fort Erie)
Game two: Sunday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. (in Cambridge)
Game three: Tuesday, April 8 at 7 p.m. (in Fort Erie)
Game four: Wednesday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. (in Cambridge)

The Meteors defeated the Corvairs in the Golden Horseshoe finals last year, a series that required all seven games.
