Male driver sought by police after dangerous operation of a motorcycle

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is searching for the driver of a motorcycle that was being operated dangerously in Crystal Beach.

On April 7, 2024, at around 10:06 p.m., police officers attended the area of Derby Road and Conway Place after receiving complaints about a motorcycle driving dangerously.

Later that evening at 10:21 p.m., an officer observed a male operating a motorcycle that matched the description in the area of Ridgeway Road and Roxborough Road. The officer saw the motorcycle travelling at a high rate of speed and performing wheelies.

The driver then drove up and down Roxborough Avenue accelerating past police in attempts to bait police into a pursuit, according to a NRPS report.

Officers did not initiate a pursuit out of concern for the safety of the public.

The motorcycle has been described as a red and white sport bike. The driver has been described as a white male with a thin build wearing dark helmet with a face shield, and a dark jacket or sweater with white writing on the back, right shoulder and arm.

Anyone who may have been in the area, or may have video or dash cam footage, is asked to contact police at (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1009558.
