Have your say: Shape the future of Fort Erie’s parks and trails

The Town of Fort Erie is seeking public input on the future of its parks and open spaces.

Residents are invited to attend two open houses and fill out an online survey to gather feedback on the Parks and Open Space Master Plan.

The plan will guide the development and management of the town’s park system for the next 20 years, taking into account a projected population growth of 32 per cent.

Those who wish to voice their opinions in person can do so on:

  • Wednesday, March 6 at 5 p.m. at Stevensville Memorial Hall (2508 Stevensville Road), and
  • Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Leisureplex Banquet Hall (3 Municipal Centre Drive).

The online survey will open shortly thereafter on March 11, 2024. All are encouraged to participate.

Residents wanting more information can contact either:

  • Elizabeth Latif, Parks Planner (Town of Fort Eire) at elatif@forterie.ca, or
  • Patrick Casey, Planner (GSP Group) at pcasey@gspgroup.ca.

The final master plan is scheduled to be finished and presented this summer.
