Fort Erie Tailoring offers ‘all types of alterations’

Fort Erie Tailoring and Alterations is one of several new businesses popping up on Jarvis Street recently.
They have been open since last October but held a grand opening ceremony last week, attended by town staff, local politicians, and others.
It’s a family business and one of more than 30 stores across the province, most of them named after the municipality they exist in.
Fariboon Moquimi spoke to Fort Erie Radio on behalf of the local store, saying their locations “give the best service possible” to the communities they are in, which is the plan for Fort Erie.

Fariboon owns a Port Colborne location and his brother Farshid runs the store located at 35 Jarvis Street, which specializes in “all types of alterations.”
He said their stores “have been successful because we know the business.”
The first store was started 35 years ago by their uncle Jalil Ahmed when he came to Canada from Afghanistan, said Fariboon.
The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
