Fort Erie recruiting for rental coordinator and development planner

The Town of Fort Erie is seeking applicants for two positions: a temporary coordinator of short-term rental and business licensing, and an intermediate development planner.
The coordinator role is a temporary position running from July 2025 to June 2026.
According to the town, the successful candidate will oversee the administration of Fort Erie’s short-term rental and business licensing programs. Duties include reviewing and processing licence applications, responding to inquiries, managing inspections and hearings related to licences, and coordinating community event applications and approvals.
Applicants should have post-secondary education in business administration, public administration, legal administration or communications, along with two to three years of relevant experience.
The position offers an annual salary between $67,953 and $81,544 plus four per cent vacation pay based on a 37.5-hour work week.
The deadline to apply is June 25 at noon.
The intermediate development planner position is a full-time, non-union role responsible for processing major development applications, preparing planning documents, and providing planning information to municipal staff, council, developers and the public.
The town says the successful candidate will also support long-range and policy planning activities.
The position requires a university degree in planning or a related field, three to five years of experience, and membership or eligibility for membership with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute or Canadian Institute of Planners.
The salary range is $84,982 to $101,978 per year, with a comprehensive benefits and pension package.
