Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre Pow Wow welcomes dancers of all ages

The 27th annual Mid Winter Pow Wow is back to bring dancing and celebration to Fort Erie.

Starting at noon on Saturday with the Grand Entrance, attendees are encouraged to enjoy the dancing, food and drinks, arts and crafts vendors, Sunrise Ceremony, and auction.

Admission is free with a donation of one non-perishable food item. Parking is also free at the Fort Erie Leisureplex, which will have shuttles throughout the day to the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre (FENFC), located at 796 Buffalo Road.

Dancers of all ages are welcome to join in their respective categories, from ages 0-5, 6-11, 12-17, 18-49, and 50+ including the Smoke Dance.

This year’s drummers are Young Tribe, All Nation Jrs, and Shawana Dodem, with the Sunrise Ceremony performed by Dave Labbe.
