Fleet Canada is hiring for 22 full-time positions in Fort Erie

Fleet Canada is currently having a hiring blitz with 22 full-time job positions open at its Gilmore Road facility.

The Fort Erie aerospace manufacturer is expanding operations and looking to fill skilled trades, technical, and management positions. The company has been a major local employer for more than 85 years.

Colleen Hykoski, senior manager of human resources, told Fort Erie Radio on Tuesday that Fleet Canada is focused on hiring within Fort Erie and across the Niagara region.

“We want to continue building a strong workforce right here in the community,” she said.

Available roles include machinists, toolmakers, production supervisors, quality assurance managers, and assembly fitters. Fleet is also hiring for technical positions such as ERP (enterprise resource planning) scheduling analysts, materials and process engineers, and project managers.

Hykoski noted that the company is in a period of major growth, adding that its workforce could expand from approximately 250 to over 350 employees within the next year.

“It’s an exciting time for Fleet. We’re preparing for significant expansion,” she said.
