Evolve Sports Centre hosting its grand opening Saturday

A new business in town is aiming to keep people active and be a destination for special events.
Evolve Sports Centre, located at 33 Gilmore Road, a building that was a Beer Store many years ago, is a 7,500 square-foot facility that will offer roller skating and rollerblading, indoor soccer, pickleball, cornhole, and more.
“It’s open to anyone,” said owner Ray Calleja, who also owns another local business, Ray’s Detailing on Helena Street.
A grand opening will take place Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m.
There will be regularly scheduled programming for people of all ages, as well as availability for events such as birthday parties, said Calleja.
He said the business will officially open next week and there will be an adult disco on Thursday night.
