Crystal Ridge Dream Center offering lunch to ‘anyone in need of a meal’ tomorrow

For those without enough to eat for lunch, the Crystal Ridge Dream Center offers nutritious meals to those who need them.

Gina Middagh, co-founder and manager of the Dream Center, said they will be serving ham and cheese on a bun with chips tomorrow while supplies last.

“This is open to anyone in need of a meal,” she said.

The lunches, which are being provided by the Turkstra Family Foundation, will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 385 Derby Road in Crystal Beach on May 14.

Middagh said visitors can pull up to the exit door on Lincoln Road and a Dream Center volunteer will direct them where to line up.

“We ask all who are attending to remain in your vehicle and a volunteer will serve you,” she said.

Typically, the Dream Center serves between 150-180 meals each program day, however, that is changing.

“Most recently, we’ve noticed our numbers reaching between 200-220,” said Middagh, adding that the center also runs a drop-in meal program every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The drop-in program is open to anyone in need.

“If you would like to help support our initiatives or find out other ways you can get involved, please email us at crdreamcenter@gmail.com,” said Middagh.
