Car enthusiasts can enjoy two local shows on Father’s Day weekend

Jeremy Overholt, right-hand man at Ray’s Detailing (967 Helena St.), is rallying the community for support as the shop gears up for its third annual Kustom Car & Bike Show.

“Ray does a lot to help the community,” Overholt said. “The more support we get, the better.”

This year’s show promises to be a spectacular event, featuring custom cars, drag cars, bikes, door prizes, food vendors, a DJ, and contests for kids, including a model car contest and a colouring contest. Attractions also include a Hot Wheels bouncy castle and a 50/50 draw, with prizes up for grabs.

The event is expected to draw over 100 cars, matching last year’s impressive turnout. Food options will include fish and chips, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, sausages, Mexican cuisine, and more.

A total of 23 trophies will be awarded, and weather permitting, the famous Munsters coach car from the hit TV series will be on display.

Proceeds from the 50/50 draw will benefit TASC Niagara, and a portion of other proceeds will go to the family of Wayne Ashton, a beloved hotrodder who recently passed away.
