Tennis club opens registration for summer junior lessons

The Fort Erie Tennis Club, located on the east side of Oakes Park on Central Avenue, has opened registration for its 2025 summer junior tennis lessons, which will run from June 30 to August 23.

According to the club, the program is open to children aged five and older at any skill level. All lessons are led by instructors certified by Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) and taught under the guidance of Julia Clarke-Louie.

Lessons will be offered Monday through Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon, as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m.

In the event of cancellations due to weather, make-up lessons will be held on Fridays.

The cost for the program is $150, which includes a 2025 tennis membership and two lessons per week. The club provides racquets and balls, so no equipment is required.

Financial support is available for eligible families through Jumpstart and the Niagara Kids Benefit, a rebrand of the ProKids program formerly administered through the YMCA of Niagara.

More information about these programs and registration is available through the Fort Erie Tennis Club’s website.
