It’s another week of planned construction on highways in Niagara, causing lane closures and delays for Fort Erie commuters.
On the QEW, work is set to take place between Ontario Street in Beamsville and Bartlett Avenue in Grimsby, Fort Erie and Toronto bound.
According to Ontario 511, the province’s traffic information website, there is construction taking place between Ontario and Seventh streets in St. Catharines.
Toronto-bound on and off ramps at Seventh Street are also scheduled to be closed due to construction.
Work is set to continue between Gilmore Road in Fort Erie and Baker Road in Niagara Falls in both directions.
The off-ramp at the QEW on Highway 406 is also set to be closed due to construction.
Eastbound and westbound lanes will also see work on Highway 405 at Stanley Avenue in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
On Highway 58, work continues at Thorold Stone Road/Davis Road and Pine Street.
Due to work being conducted by Canadian Niagara Power, Point Abino Road between Netherby and Fox roads will be closed Monday to Friday, says a statement from the Town of Fort Erie.
