New and continuing work planned this week on Niagara highways

Fort Erie commuters can expect to see new and ongoing work on highways in Niagara this week.
Construction will cause lane closures between Gilmore Road in Fort Erie and Baker Road in Niagara Falls on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) in both directions, says Ontario 511, the province’s traffic information website.
Between Dieppe Road/North Service Road in St. Catharines and Victoria Avenue in Lincoln there is also work taking place, Toronto bound.
Between Victoria Avenue and the Garden City Skyway there will be lane closures Fort Erie bound, says Ontario 511.
The Fort Erie-bound on-ramp at Seventh Street in St. Catharines will be closed.
There is also construction occurring between Seventh Street and Highway 406 on the QEW.
Highway 406 will see several instances of work taking place; southbound at Beaverdams Road in Thorold, northbound between Highway 58 and Glendale Avenue in St. Catharines, as well as northbound and southbound between East Main Street in Welland and the QEW in St. Catharines.
Work is scheduled on Highway 405 between the QEW and Stanley Avenue in Niagara-on-the-Lake in both directions.
On Highway 58, work continues northbound between Thorold Stone Road/Davis Road and Pine Street, as well as between Pine Street and Collier Road.
