As it appears the winter has come to an end, a new season of constant construction is here.
There will be many instances of work taking place along the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) in Niagara this week.
Between Martindale Road and Seventh Street in St. Catharines, two right Toronto-bound lanes will be closed starting Tuesday.
The on and off ramps at Seventh Street are also going to be closed.
The off and on ramps for Toronto-bound traffic at the QEW and Highway 406 will be closed this week as well, says Ontario 511, the province’s traffic information website.
The Toronto-bound on-ramp at Ontario Street will also be closed this week.
A long stretch between McLeod Road and the Peace Bridge will be under construction, causing lane closures in both directions.
Work continues between Fifteen Mile Creek and Highway 406, Fort Erie bound.
There is continuing construction between Baker Road in Niagara Falls and Gilmore Road in Fort Erie, resulting in lane closures in both directions.
There is also ongoing work on Highway 58 at the Thorold Tunnel, as well as between Thorold Stone and Davis roads, and in the area of Pine Street.
