Peace Bridge lit up in Buffalo Bills colours for championship game

The Peace Bridge has been illuminated in Buffalo Bills colours over the weekend in celebration of the team’s Conference Championship game this Sunday, according to a Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority news release.
The bridge will continue to shine in blue and red through to Sunday night, the release says, when the Bills will take on the Chiefs, their longtime conference rivals, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
Credit: Timeless Tokens | InstagramThe Public Bridge Authority announced on social media that a special effects light show will occur on the bridge each time the Bills score during Sunday’s game.
Additionally, overhead traffic gantry signs on the Peace Bridge have featured the Bills logo throughout the weekend.
The Buffalo Bills are competing for a spot in the Super Bowl LIX on on February 9.
The Peace Bridge, which opened to traffic in 1927, spans the Niagara River and serves as a key international border crossing between Fort Erie and Buffalo, N.Y.
