Roadwork on local highways continues this week

Most of the roadwork Fort Erie commuters have been navigating around in recent weeks will continue this week, according to Ontario 511, the province’s website for traffic updates.
Roadwork on Highway 3 between Nigh and Holloway Bay roads will continue to cause lane closures all week.
Also on Highway 3, the right westbound lane between Ellsworth and Laur roads will be closed due to construction.
There will continue to be closures on both sides of the QEW between Gilmore Road in Fort Erie and Baker Road in Niagara Falls. This work is expected to be wrapped up on November 8.
Highway 406 will continue to have alternating lane closures headed in both directions at East Main Street and Highway 58 in Welland.
Also on Highway 406, there will be lane closures in both directions between Merritt and Canboro roads near the Thorold-Welland border.
