Two seriously injured after motorcycle and SUV collide in Fort Erie

Two people on a motorcycle were seriously injured in a collision with an SUV Sunday evening at Helena Street and Dominion Road.
A white Nissan SUV and a red Harley-Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle collided at the intersection at about 2 p.m., the Niagara Regional Police Service said in a release Monday.
Both people on the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital outside the region.
A passenger in the SUV was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
The intersection was closed while investigators examined the scene and reopened it at about 9 p.m.
Police said the collision reconstruction unit has taken over the investigation and the cause remains under investigation.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage to contact them.
