Where to donate gently used clothes in Greater Fort Erie this spring

It’s that time of year when many Fort Erie residents clean out their closets to make room for their summer gear.

In that process there may be items discovered that can be donated, and there are a number of locations around town to do so.

Just a friendly reminder to wash all clothing before donating it.

Diabetes Canada

  • Donation bins located at the Bridge Street Waste Depot at 1300 Bridge Street.
  • A free pickup can also be scheduled at diabetes.ca.
  • Items are resold and proceeds go towards diabetes research and to support those with diabetes.

Recycling Rewards

  • Donation bins located at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71 at 130 Garrison Road.
  • Donation bins located at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 230 at 228 South Mill Street.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church

  • Located at 171 Bertie Street.
  • Drop off times must be arranged by contacting teachingattrinity@gmail.com.
  • Will only accept donations of children’s clothing, which will be given to families in need as part of the ‘Mom Box’ program.

Crystal Ridge Community Church

  • Located at 241 Elmwood Avenue.
  • Drop off hours are Monday 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Clothes will be given away for free at the church.

Garrison Road Church

  • Located at 1351 Garrison Road.
  • Drop off hours are Mondays between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.
  • Clothing for children given away Saturdays between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.

St. Vincent De Paul

  • Located at 36 Jarvis Street.
  • Drop off hours are Monday to Saturday between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
