New Indigenous art exhibit coming to Old Fort Erie

A new Indigenous art exhibit will be unveiled at Old Fort Erie this weekend as part of National Indigenous History Month.

According to Niagara Parks, ‘Hope and Healing Canada’ by Tracey-Mae Chambers will be unveiled Saturday at 350 Lakeshore Road.

The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. outside the visitor centre.

Niagara Parks says the ceremony will include remarks from dignitaries, an address by Chambers and performances by the Strong Water Singers.

After the unveiling, guests will be invited to attend a speaker session with Tuscarora knowledge keeper Rick Hill Sr. at 2 p.m.
