A garage attached to a home on Scott Avenue in Fort Erie was gone in one hour, burned beyond recovery early Saturday morning with the cause still unknown.
Fire Chief Mark Schmitt told Fort Erie Radio that crews arrived around 9:30 a.m. and had the blaze under control within the hour, extinguishing it shortly thereafter.

“It’s a complete loss. No injuries at the scene,” said Schmitt.
Everyone at the home escaped safely. Schmitt confirmed no pets were harmed at the location.
A small electric vehicle parked near the garage entrance was also caught in the fire and burned beyond repair.
The fire remains under investigation. The cause had not been determined as of Saturday evening.
