Town of Fort Erie hiring compensation and benefits specialist

The Town of Fort Erie is looking to fill a full-time compensation and benefits specialist position, according to a posting published on the town’s website.

The successful candidate will join the municipality’s human resources division and will be responsible for designing and overseeing Fort Erie’s total rewards program, which includes employee compensation, pensions, and benefits.

According to the job posting, the position reports to the manager of human resources and carries a salary range of $92,131 to $110,558 per year, along with a comprehensive health, pension, and benefits package.

Applicants should have a Payroll Compliance Professional designation and at least five years of experience in payroll, benefits, and compensation analysis. The town is seeking someone with proven skills in data analysis and experience working in both unionized and non-union environments.

The specialist will also be responsible for administering the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System and ensuring compliance with legislation such as the Pay Equity Act and Employment Standards Act.
