Niagara Cyber Lions sending two lucky fans to Bills-Jets game

A unique branch of a longstanding service club is sending two lucky fans to a late-December Buffalo Bills game.

The Niagara Cyber Lions formed three years ago and conducts all its business between members through online platforms.

Last year, the club promoted a raffle through social media to win a pair of Toronto Maple Leafs tickets. They raised $5,000 in the process, which led to the purchase of musical instruments that were donated to various camps and charitable organizations in the region, such as Boys and Girls Club of Niagara, Newport Centre in Port Colborne, as well as Foundation of Resources for Teens in Grimsby, among several others, explained Mark King, secretary and one of the founders of Niagara Cyber Lions.

Their mandate is to focus on arts and entertainment-related causes.

“That’s what makes us different,” he said.

There are 2,000 raffle tickets available to win a trip to the Bills game, when they will face AFC East rivals New York Jets on December 29.

The value of the package is $1,500, which includes two tickets, preferred parking, and a $150 gift card to the Pepsi Club at the 35-yard line.

The seats are heated and covered, says the group’s social media posts about the contest, which is now open.

Raffle tickets are available for $10 each by contacting niagaracyberlions@gmail.com.

The winner will be drawn December 2 and proceeds will again benefit ‘Instruments of Love,’ the purchasing of musical gear for Niagara-based groups.
